From 1978-1981, I studied Heraldry, Calligraphy and Illumination at the Reigate School of Art & Design, Reigate, England graduating with First Class Honours. The course included bookbinding, life drawing and still life. Primarily, a good heraldic artist must have strong draughtsmanship skills and an eye for detail. This rigorous training provided a solid base for the illustration and painting I have done since.
